“Spoon River Anthology”, Community Read Discussion

spoonFrank BurroughsPlease join Franklin Burroughs on Thursday, March 17 from 1-2:30 P.M. at the Merrymeeting Arts Center, 9 Main Street, Bowdoinham. Franklin will lead a community discussion of the book, “Spoon River Anthology,” by Edgar Lee Masters.  Published 100 years ago, the book vividly describes the inhabitants of a fictional small town in the Midwest through a series of interconnected, first person epitaphs.

Multiple copies of the book are available for loan at the Bowdoinham Public Library. A reading guide for “Spoon River Anthology” is available at the Bowdoinham Town Office, the Library, and the Town Landing Restaurant.
